Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette Thoughts

I haven't used any of the Anastasia Beverly Hills single eyeshadows or palettes that had come out in the past. When I saw the Modern Renaissance palette on the Sephora website the colors drew me in. The brand was also a cruelty free cosmetic brand, which was an added bonus. The palette was sold out on the Sephora Canada website and 3 of the 4 Sephora stores in Calgary had it in stock. I was lucky enough to have purchased one. The Sephora associate who rang me in told me they only had 10 palettes in total. She told me this palette was sold out in the 3 stores. Packaging: It's a rectangular palette. The palette came in a lilac velvet packaging, with white imprint lettering that says ‘Modern Renaissance’ and rose gold imprint saying Anastasia Beverly Hills and their logo. On the back, a black sticker label with eyeshadow ingredients. Inside, a black lining is present, with a hidden magnetic strip. A mirror is also present. The mirror is protected with a peel off sticker, Below the mirror, Anastasia Beverly Hills is embroidered with rose gold. In order to protect the eyeshadow product, a sheet protector was placed right on top . The product was presented with a small black ribbon that assisted you in pulling a small brush from the one end. The brush is a duel brush, one end is a flat brush and the other end is a blending brush. The brush is authentically hers and for her palettes because of the imprint that won’t rub off.

Cyprus Umber

Raw Sienna Burnt Orange Primavera Red Ochre Venetian Red Warm Taupe Realgar Thoughts: This is one of the most buttery eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever tried. The pigmentation is excellent, with easy and light-handed application. When I used the eyeshadows, I didn't have any fallouts. I have oily eyelids so I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Nars Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow and NYX Proof it Waterproof Eye Shadow Primer before applications of other eyeshadows. This palette was one of the only ones that can withstand my oily eyelids and long after 8 hours without creasing during humid weather. The shimmers in the palette is noticeable but when I applied the shimmers eyeshadows onto my eyelids it turns to more of a matte finish. When I swatched it onto my hand, I can see hints of shimmer. The two shimmers, Vermeer and Primavera, showed up better than the other shimmers. For someone who is resourceful and would like to utilize things for multi purpose usage, Vermeer is also a good cheek highlighter for someone with light/medium skin tone and Primavera is good for someone that has a medium/darker skin tone. Travellers would love this palette because of this multi-function product. There are 3 shades to choose from for eyebrows, 2 shades for cheeks highlight and it comes with a duel end brush. The Modern Renaissance Palette will suit all eye colors where the eyeshadows colors alone, will give different looks to different skin tones. Prices: Sephora Canada - $52.00 Sephora U.S.A - $42.00 Anastasia Beverly Hills - $42.00 I unfortunately have not made a purchase off the Anastasia Beverly Hills website. I'm not 100% sure about international shipping and how ordering off they website will go about.
