Thoughts:

I brought this in January. I used this for 2 months now. In February I used this product alone. I followed the instructions and I used 4 cotton pads both side, each time I use it.

I personally didn't liked it at all. I felt my skin wasn't 100% clean. I felt there was still makeup residue left on my skin. I didn't find it mattifying. I actually ended up breaking out. In beginning of March, I decided to do some pre-cleaning and washed my face first with my own cleaner or makeup remover with a wet cloth to remove my makeup my skin. Then I used this product as a toner instead. I noticed it pulled the dirt from initial use of my cleaner or makeup remover. It definitely helped finish my cleaning process for the night. For the use of mattifying my skin, I didn't notice anything different. Honestly I'm not going to purchase this product again, just for the fact that I didn't like it for myself.

Customers can pick this up at their local drugstores, will varying price points. Check out flyers for them to go on sale. Some drugstores will do competitor price matching, if customers show proof of a lower price point.

Brand:

The Body Shop Tea Tree Mattifying Lotion

Packaging:

This lotion is stored in a green squeezable tube. The cap is black. The label is not a sticker. It doesn't have a strong smell of the tea tree oil, which may be more appealing for someone who likes the benefits and not the smell.

Description:

It supposed to hydrate and control shine, for a clear and lightweight feel of the skin. It is suitable for blemished skin, as well.

Thoughts:

I bought this at the beginning of March. I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now. I use this in the morning after I’ve applied my own facial oil. I apply just a pea sized amount, massage it into my skin and let it sit on my skin for 5 minutes before I apply my makeup on top. My skin feels soft at first, and the hydration and mattifying happens after a few hours.

I noticed even after applying it and having it on my face for a few hours, the oiliness of my t-zone was brought out. I didn't noticed it at first, realizing this product didn’t actually clear my skin. I'm not going to purchase this lotion again. A great alternative would be to add Tea Tree oil into my original moisturizer. I definitely recommend going to The Body Shop and asking for a sample to test out before committing to a purchase. This is $15.00 CDN and $15.00 USA on sale for $9.00 USA.

Thoughts:

When winter comes my skin can either be oily or be very dry. This winter, my skin ended up being really dry. I noticed that when I put on any kind of foundation and concealer, dry patches show up around my chin and under my eyes, and sometimes shows up pretty bad. I had to find something that will help heal dry skin. My friend recommend Argan Oil, which is recommended on dry skin. I brought Physicians Formula Argan Wear in ‘Illuminating‘. For a week I used the ELF Hydrating primer first and then added the illuminating on top. When I blend it out with a brush, the tiny reflects of gold shimmers were not noticeable. However, I noticed there were no dry patches and my skin looked smoothed out. I haven't try this on its own as a primer yet, but will definitely do so when summer comes. I might purchase this again just for my winter-y dryer skin just because this is pretty expensive in Canada. Customers can pick this up at their local drugstores, the prices will vary. Check the flyers for this to go on sale, as I feel it is worth it. Some drugstores will do competitive price matches, if you can show proof of the lower competitive price point.

Physicians Formula packages will often have a coupon or rebate pink sticker on it. With the rebate, customers have to go on to the Physicians Formula rebate page, print out the paper copy of the rebate, fill it out , send to the company with the barcode and the original receipt of your purchase. If you’re willing to wait on the rebate, it does take quite some time for the emailed rebate check to arrive in your mailbox.
